Detailed Job Description

As a Monitoring Engineer (L1) at KB Technologies in Dubai, you will take full operational ownership of 24/7 command-and-control infrastructure monitoring, alert triage, and incident dispatching across mission‑critical enterprise environments. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities include reviewing monitoring dashboards, performing daily infrastructure health checks, acknowledging alerts within strict Service Level Agreement (SLA) timelines, and creating or updating tickets using ITSM tools. You will perform initial L1 troubleshooting using approved runbooks, resolve routine incidents within scope, and escalate complex issues to L2/L3 engineering teams. Furthermore, you will monitor backup jobs and resource capacity, support Severity 1 major incident communications, track ageing dependency tickets, and maintain meticulous shift handover notes and operational checklists.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor enterprise infrastructure, servers, compute clusters, storage systems, backup jobs, databases, networks, and security alerts in a 24/7 environment.
• Utilize specialized monitoring platforms including Nutanix Prism, NKP, and Nutanix Lens to diagnose operational anomalies.
• Perform daily infrastructure health checks, system audits, and proactive reviews of enterprise monitoring dashboards.
• Create, update, and manage incident tickets efficiently through enterprise ITSM tools in alignment with operational standards.
• Acknowledge incoming alerts rapidly and initiate structured incident responses within established SLA timelines.
• Perform initial L1 troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures using approved technical runbooks and knowledge articles.
• Resolve routine incidents within defined L1 scope and seamlessly upscale complex technical issues to L2/L3 support tiers.
• Support Severity 1 and major incident communications, track SLA-risk tickets, and prepare daily health, incident, and SLA reports.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional hands‑on experience in NOC, Command Center, or IT Service Desk environments.
• Basic working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating system administration.
• Sound fundamental understanding of enterprise virtualization, storage systems, networking, backup systems, and relational databases.
• Practical familiarity with enterprise monitoring platforms and ITSM ticketing tools.
