Job summary

Shukria in the UAE seeks a Business Development Officer to acquire new merchants for payment solutions and value-added services. You will build strong merchant relations, present end-to-end POS options, and drive growth across retail, hospitality, and F&B sectors.

The role requires proven sales ability, excellent communication, and the drive to exceed targets in a dynamic payments environment. UAE driver’s license and own vehicle are preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of sales experience in payments or banking is an advantage.
• Established network within the retail sector.
• Ability to identify potential buyers and create demand for POS terminals.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, analytical mindset, and computer literacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Arabic language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Present Shukria’s end-to-end POS acceptance solutions to merchants across retail, restaurants, hospitality/F&B, and other sectors in the UAE.
• Cross-sell value-added services including POS hardware and software, loyalty programs and other Shukria offerings.
• Consistently meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Identify, prospect, and convert new merchants by recommending suitable business solutions.
• Manage merchant contract signing, documentation, and submission processes in a timely and accurate manner.
• Conduct product and service training for merchants on the value-added services they subscribe to.
• Negotiate MDR/commission rates, POS rentals, and pricing for value-added services.
