Job Description

The MEP Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within landscape and irrigation projects. The role ensures that all MEP works are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project specifications, local authority regulations, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electrical systems for landscape lighting, pumps, control panels, and systems.
• Execute plumbing works including pipelines, valves, and water supply systems.
• Support installation of mechanical systems such as pumps, filtration units, and water features.
• Read and interpret MEP drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of MEP systems across landscape sites.
• Diagnose faults in electrical, plumbing and systems and carry out necessary repairs.
• Ensure proper functioning of controllers, sensors, and lighting systems.

Site Coordination

• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors for smooth execution of works.
• Assist in material inspection and ensure proper usage of tools and equipment.
• Report progress, issues, and delays to the supervisor.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Follow all HSE policies and procedures as per UAE regulations.
• Ensure all installations comply with DEWA/ADDC/municipality standards and project requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment on-site.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Assist in preparing reports and checklists for completed works.
• Support testing and commissioning of MEP systems.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing Engineering.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in MEP works, preferably in landscaping projects in the UAE.
• Knowledge of landscape lighting, and pump installations.
• Familiarity with UAE authority standards (DEWA, ADDC, etc.).
• Ability to read technical drawings and use hand/power tools.
• Basic English communication skills (Arabic is a plus).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Teamwork and coordination skills.
• Basic knowledge of safety practices.
