Job summary

Confidential is seeking a procurement professional to source, evaluate, and procure mechanical, electrical, and plumbing materials and subcontract packages for projects in the UAE. The role coordinates with project, design, and site teams to ensure timely delivery, cost optimization, and compliance with technical and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specifications, selecting suppliers, negotiating terms, and preparing purchase orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of procurement experience in MEP/Construction.
• Strong knowledge of MEP materials, suppliers, and local UAE market.
• Familiarity with BOQ, contracts, and technical submittals.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review MEP drawings, BOQs, and specifications for procurement requirements.
• Source suppliers and subcontractors, obtain quotations, and conduct evaluations.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
• Ensure materials comply with project specifications and consultant approvals.
• Track deliveries and coordinate with site teams to avoid delays.
• Maintain procurement logs and vendor databases.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and value engineering.
• Monitor market trends, lead times, and supplier performance.
