Job summary

Dutco Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Planning Engineer in Dubai to lead planning, scheduling and coordination for Fit-Out, Interior Fit-Out, and related projects. The role requires deep expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Project to develop baseline programmes, monitor progress, and drive on-schedule delivery.

Ideal candidates will have 5–8 years in MEP planning within Commercial, Retail, Hospitality or high-end Residential sectors, and UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5-8 years of experience in MEP planning with focus on Fit-Out, Interior Fit-Out, Commercial, Retail, Hospitality and High-End Residential projects.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project for project scheduling and control.
• Prepare, update, and monitor baseline programmes, target schedules, look-ahead plans, recovery programmes, and project dashboards.
• UAE/GCC Interior Fit-Out or MEP Contracting experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and monitor MEP activities across the project lifecycle.
• Identify delays, conduct schedule impact analysis, and recommend mitigation measures for timely delivery.
• Coordinate MEP work with civil, architectural, interior fit-out, testing, commissioning, and handover teams.
• Develop resource-loaded schedules, manpower forecasts, productivity analyses, and progress measurement systems.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, earned value analysis, and management presentations.

We are looking for an MEP Planning Engineer with strong experience in Fit-Out and Interior Fit-Out projects. The ideal candidate should possess extensive expertise in project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and coordination of MEP activities across the complete project lifecycle.

Key Requirements & Responsibilities:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in MEP planning, with a strong focus on Fit-Out, Interior Fit-Out, Commercial, Retail, Hospitality, and High-End Residential projects.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project for developing and managing project schedules.
• Prepare, update, and monitor baseline programmes, target schedules, look-ahead plans, recovery programmes, and project dashboards.
• Monitor project progress, identify delays, conduct schedule impact analysis, and recommend mitigation measures to ensure timely project delivery.
• Coordinate MEP activities with civil, architectural, interior fit-out, testing & commissioning, and handover requirements.
• Develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules, manpower forecasts, productivity analyses, and progress measurement systems.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, earned value analysis, and management presentations.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, Consultants, Subcontractors, and Clients to ensure effective project planning and execution.
• Strong understanding of MEP installation sequences, procurement schedules, testing & commissioning activities, authority approvals, and project close-out processes.
• UAE/GCC experience within an Interior Fit-Out or MEP Contracting environment is highly preferred.
