Job summary

Parsons in Dubai, UAE is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to join our team. You will independently perform field engineering assignments, develop plans, schedules, contracts, procedures, and construction methods for a large project.

The role requires 8+ years in field construction, proficiency with CAD, and strong communication. Will relocate to site locations as needed to support complex industrial and civil projects at scale with a global engineering leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction-related field.
• 8+ years of field construction experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with CAD and other PC software used in engineering and construction.
• Proven ability to perform in a lead capacity on a project.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex field engineering assignments involving development, execution, supervision, and coordination of all technical aspects of a construction project.
• Maintains first-level quality assurance to confirm installation complies with plans, specifications, and standards.
• Supervises construction engineering work and provides technical expertise for one or more disciplines, including survey personnel.
• Supervises Construction Inspectors, ensuring tests/inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented per procedures.
• Monitors and coordinates all contractors' activities for the assigned area.
• Collaborates with construction management to eliminate hazards and ensure health and safety guidance is followed.
• Establishes and maintains liaison with discipline design engineering staff and reviews design drawings for correct execution.

MEP Engineer

Dubai, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented MEP Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to independently perform all aspects of field engineering assignments including development of plans, schedules, contracts, procedures, and construction methods and systems for an assigned project, or a designated area of a large project.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Performs difficult and very complex field engineering assignments involving the development, execution, supervision, and coordination of all technical aspects of a construction project.
• Maintains first-level quality assurance to confirm that the installation of all work within his/her discipline is in accordance with the plans, specifications, and industry standards.
• Supervises the construction engineering work and provide technical expertise for one or more of the construction engineering disciplines, as well as survey personnel.
• Supervises Construction Inspectors, ensuring that tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures.
• Monitors and coordinates all contractors' activities for assigned area.
• Collaborates with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees.
• Establishes and maintains liaison with the discipline design engineering staff.
• Reviews and interprets discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level and correct technical execution of the work.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience.
• 8+ years of experience in field construction.
• Requires a comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, as well as industry practices.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering and construction.
• Proven ability for performing in a lead capacity on a project.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred.
• Willingness to relocate to construction site locations.
• Provides resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline(s); coordinates application of solutions.
• Interfaces with the client and upper-level management.
