Position Overview

The Mechanical Engineer - Construction Supervision role at Parsons Corporation in Dubai supports delivery of large‑scale infrastructure projects through site supervision, design review, planning, and testing and commissioning of mechanical systems. This position works closely with project management, clients, contractors, and authorities to ensure mechanical works meet technical, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage site supervision, design reviews, planning, project monitoring, and testing and commissioning activities.
• Advise the project management team and client on procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Attend factory acceptance tests and site tests to support successful project completion and asset handover to authorities.
• Develop scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project elements and monitor progress against targets.
• Identify and document scope changes and support procurement planning, scheduling, and budget control for assigned packages.
• Interface with procurement and subcontract teams to facilitate bidding and technical coordination.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary technical resources and support groups to meet project requirements.
• Assist the Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling technical, fiscal, and administrative project functions.
• Assess technical skill requirements and staffing needs to support successful project delivery.
• Ensure client criteria and approved scope are met across all engineering disciplines.
• Track and expedite action items arising from meetings with clients and project stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for client and project management review.
• Obtain, analyze, and circulate technical and contractual information to relevant project teams.
• Perform additional duties associated with mechanical engineering supervision as required.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institution.
• Minimum ten years of experience in site supervision, design review, planning, project monitoring, and testing and commissioning on large infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience supervising construction of pumping stations, firefighting systems, chilled water networks, and utilities.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai authority requirements and approval processes including DEWA, Dubai Municipality, and Civil Defense.
• Proficiency in CAD and standard engineering software tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated potential to perform in a lead or senior capacity.
