Job summary

Alpago Design & Build seeks Electrical and Mechanical Draftsmen for full-time, on-site roles in Dubai. You will create detailed electrical and mechanical drawings using AutoCAD, with Revit knowledge a plus, and work closely with the engineering team to meet project specs.

Responsibilities include shop and as-built drawings for MEP systems, coordinating with engineers, and ensuring compliance with UAE codes and standards. A Diploma/Bachelor in Eng is required.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of UAE MEP drafting experience.
• Proficient in electrical/Mechanical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit/BIM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings and as-built drawings for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Interpret design specifications, tender drawings, and project requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with UAE standards and project specs.
• Coordinate with MEP engineers to avoid clashes and ensure design accuracy.
• Revise drawings based on changes and feedback, maintain documentation.
• Assist in quantity take-offs and material submittals when required.

Job description

We are looking to hire Electrical and Mechanical Draftsmen for full-time, on-site roles based in

Dubai. The Draftsmen will be responsible for creating detailed electrical engineering and mechanical drawings. The roles involve utilizing AutoCAD (Revit knowledge is a plus) to produce accurate technical plans and working closely with the engineering team to ensure designs meet project specifications.

Job Role

• Prepare detailed shop drawings and as-built drawings for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Interpret design specifications, tender drawings, and project requirements provided by engineers and consultants
• Ensure drawings comply with UAE construction standards, regulations, and project specifications
• Coordinate with MEP engineers and other disciplines to avoid clashes and ensure design accuracy
• Revise and update drawings based on design changes, site conditions, and consultant/engineer feedback
• Maintain organized documentation of drawings, revisions, and approvals
• Assist in preparing quantity take-offs and material submittals when required

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 to 10 years of experience in MEP drafting within the UAE.
• Proficient in electrical/Mechanical engineering drawings
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD (mandatory) Revit/BIM knowledge is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with UAE building codes, authority standards (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, ADDC, etc.).X
• Ability to interpret and produce detailed, precise technical drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Good communication and coordination skills to liaise with engineers, consultants, and siteteams
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in the construction and consultancy industry
• Proven experience in high end luxury villas, penthouse ,high end restaurants and commercial projects
