Job summary

GMG is seeking an MEP Designer in Dubai to develop detailed MEP designs for retail, supermarkets, and furniture outlets across GCC and SE Asia. You will prepare drawings using AutoCAD and Revit MEP, coordinate with architects, and ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, and DEWA/SEWA standards.

With 2–4 years in MEP design, preferably in retail/construction, you will perform load calculations, duct sizing, equipment selection, and contribute to BOQ and technical reports, while ensuring

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in MEP design, preferably in retail construction or consultancy.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit MEP for detailed drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of GCC/local standards (ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, DEWA, SEWA).
• Strong technical drawing and detailing skills; load calculations and equipment selection.
• Cross-disciplinary coordination and integration with architectural/work engineering teams.
• Experience in BOQ preparation and technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP designs, drawings, and schematics using CAD/Revit.
• Develop mechanical (HVAC), electrical, and plumbing layouts for retail stores and furniture outlets.
• Coordinate with architects and project managers to integrate MEP systems into building design.
• Perform load calculations, duct sizing, and equipment selection for GCC regions.
• Ensure compliance with GCC/local codes and standards (ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, local regs).
• Review and revise designs based on feedback from engineers or landlords/consultants.
• Support BOQ, specifications, and technical reports.
• Attend project meetings and site visits to resolve design issues.
• Design energy-efficient and sustainable systems using local resources.
