Job summary

AKKA Electromechanical Contracting LLC in the UAE is seeking an on-site MEP Coordinator to guide coordination of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across design, site execution and commissioning.

You will review drawings, specifications and BIM models to ensure integrated, clash-free MEP services, liaising with consultants, contractors and internal teams, and supporting construction with technical guidance to keep projects on track.

Role Description

The MEP Coordinator will oversee the coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across project designs, site execution, and commissioning activities. This full-time, on-site role is based in Al Ain and involves reviewing drawings, specifications, and BIM models to ensure all MEP services are properly integrated and clash-free. The role includes liaising with consultants, contractors, and internal project teams, preparing coordination drawings, and supporting construction teams with technical guidance. The MEP Coordinator will monitor progress, address site issues, support quality and safety compliance, and assist in resolving design and installation conflicts to keep projects on schedule and within standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in MEP Coordination and Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Candidates should possess skills in Plumbing and Building Services for design review and site implementation.
• Candidates should possess skills in Building Information Modeling (BIM) for coordination drawings and clash detection.
• Relevant technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (diploma or degree).
• Experience in construction or electromechanical contracting, preferably in UAE or GCC.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple site activities.
