MEP BIM Modeler (French Speaker)

Job summary

DataOne in Dubai is seeking a BIM MEP Modeler to contribute to production of BIM models and fabrication drawings for data center projects. You will work with engineers, BIM coordinators and construction teams to model MEP systems and equipment while considering fabrication and installation requirements.

Additionally, you will support Scan-to-BIM by processing 3D point clouds to create accurate as-built models for design, construction and documentation, and you will participate in BIM

Qualifications

• Proven experience in MEP modeling on construction or data center projects.
• Proficiency in BIM modeling software, ideally Autodesk Revit.
• Experience producing fabrication drawings and construction documentation.
• Knowledge of point clouds and Scan-to-BIM workflows; experience with Autodesk ReCap would be an advantage.
• The ability to check model and drawing quality and meet project standards and deadlines.
• Good communication skills, a collaborative mindset and a practical, solutions focused approach.
• Knowledge of ARC and STR disciplines would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Twinmotion would also be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• MEP modeling: Model MEP systems, equipment and supports in accordance with project documents, technical specifications and required levels of detail.
• Fabrication drawings: Produce and update fabrication and coordination drawings required for the prefabrication and installation of MEP systems.
• Scan to BIM: Use 3D point clouds to model existing installations and produce as-built BIM models.
• Survey data review: Check that point-cloud data is consistent with the project models and documents, and flag any discrepancies or missing information.
• Spatial coordination: Identify clashes and installation constraints, and contribute to coordination with other disciplines.
• Model and drawing quality control: Check the accuracy and consistency of models and drawings before submission.
• BIM coordination: Participate in BIM coordination meetings and collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve technical and spatial issues.
• Project standards: Follow project BIM requirements, naming conventions, modeling standards and document-control procedures.

Your Role:

As an BIM MEP Modeler, you will contribute to the production of BIM models and fabrication drawings for DATAONE’s data center projects. Working closely with engineers, BIM coordinators and construction teams, you will model MEP systems and equipment while taking project constraints and fabrication and installation requirements into account. You will also support Scan-to-BIM activities by using 3D point clouds to model existing conditions and produce reliable models for design, construction and project documentation.

Requirements:

Ideally, you bring:

• Proven experience in MEP modeling, preferably on construction or data center projects.
• Proficiency in BIM modeling software, ideally Autodesk Revit.
• Experience producing fabrication drawings and construction documentation.
• Knowledge of point clouds and Scan-to-BIM workflows; experience with tools such as Autodesk ReCap would be an advantage.
• The ability to check model and drawing quality and meet project standards and deadlines.
• Good communication skills, a collaborative mindset and a practical, solutions focused approach.
• Knowledge of architectural (ARC) and structural (STR) disciplines would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Twinmotion would also be an advantage.
