Job summary

DataONE is seeking a BIM MEP Modeler to contribute to BIM models and fabrication drawings for data center projects. You will work with engineers, BIM coordinators and construction teams to model MEP systems and equipment, while considering fabrication and installation constraints and using Scan-to-BIM with 3D point clouds to produce reliable models for design, construction and documentation.

Responsibilities include producing fabrication drawings, coordinating clashes, reviewing point-cloud data

Qualifications

• Experience in MEP modeling, preferably on construction or data center projects.
• Proficiency in BIM modeling software, ideally Autodesk Revit.
• Experience producing fabrication drawings and construction documentation.
• Knowledge of point clouds and Scan-to-BIM workflows; Autodesk ReCap is a plus.
• Ability to check model and drawing quality and meet project standards and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• MEP modeling: Model MEP systems, equipment and supports per project docs and specs.
• Fabrication drawings: Produce and update fabrication and coordination drawings for prefabrication and installation.
• Scan to BIM: Use 3D point clouds to model existing installations and create as-built BIM models.
• Survey data review: Check point-cloud data against models and docs for consistency.
• Spatial coordination: Identify clashes and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Model and drawing quality control: Ensure accuracy before submission.
• BIM coordination: Attend meetings and resolve technical issues.
• Project standards: Follow BIM requirements and document-control procedures.
