Job summary

Careers at UAE is seeking a Medical Records Executive to ensure high-quality medical records through QA, deficiency analysis, and data preparation in a hospital setting. The role requires coordination with clinical staff to complete deficient records while adhering to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.

The incumbent will release information upon authorization, prepare statistics, and participate in continuous quality improvement activities and mandatory training programs.

Qualifications

  • Post-graduation in Medical Documentation. (≤140 chars)
  • Minimum 4 years of experience.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • Excellent command of English; Arabic desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical analysis and evaluation of medical records in line with hospital standards.
  • Evaluate documentation deficiencies and arrange for completion of records.
  • Prepare monthly reports on discharged inpatient record deficiencies.
  • Assist clinical staff in completion of deficient records.
  • Collect data to prepare hospital statistics.
  • Release patient medical information upon authorized approval.
  • Adhere to OSH, infection control policies and hospital standards.
  • Support quality improvement activities and QA programs.
  • Participate in in‑service training, conferences, or other programs.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication with staff and management.
  • Maintain confidentiality as per policy.
  • Understand hospital policies and procedures and comply with them.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by Head of Department.
  • Comply with waste management and OSH policies.
  • Attend OSH/Infection control training and drills.
  • Use appropriate PPE in duties.

Medical Records Executive
Job Description
  • Performs quality assurance of medical records, including deficiency analysis, completion and data preparation.
Responsibilities
  • Perform technical analysis and evaluation of medical records in compliance with hospital standards
  • Responsible for evaluating documentation deficiencies and arranging for completion of records
  • Prepare monthly reports based on discharged inpatient records deficiencies
  • Assist medical/nursing/paramedical staffs in completion of deficient records.
  • Collect and arrange the data needed to prepare various hospital statistics
  • Responsible for releasing the patient medical information upon authorized approval.
  • Strictly adheres to organization’s regulations and policies especially those related to infection control, patient safety, HAAD, JCI and ISO.
  • Supports Continuous Quality Improvement and participates and contributes to all the quality assurance activities of the service.
  • Participates and contributes in scheduled in-service training programs, in‑house activities, conferences or other programs as requested.
  • Exercises effective interpersonal skills in dealings with department staff, associates and management.
  • Maintains confidentiality as per the agreement signed.
  • Demonstrates the ability to listen to others in promoting effective communication.
  • Develops thorough understanding of policies and procedures of the hospital and demonstrates respect for them.
  • Carries out other duties when requested by the Head of Department.
  • Complies with all OSH and infection control policies, standards and procedures and cooperates with hospital management to comply with those requirements.
  • Works in accordance with the documented OSH procedures and instructions, specific responsibilities.
  • Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
  • Notifies OSH hazards, incidents, near misses and issues and assists with the preparation of risk assessments and incident reports.
  • Complies with waste management procedures and policies.
  • Attends applicable OSH/Infection control training programs, mock drills and awareness programs.
  • Uses appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems.
Qualifications
  • Qualification: Post‑Graduation in Medical Documentation
  • Experience: Minimum Four (4) years.
  • Skills: Computer literacy.
  • Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic is desirable but not essential.
