Job summary

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced mechanical engineer to provide technical expertise and support for workshop and static equipment maintenance within a large oil and gas processing environment.

The role involves supervising workshop activities, troubleshooting fabrication and machining issues, coordinating equipment replacements, and developing preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
• 6 years of experience in workshop maintenance of static equipment and field experience in oil and gas processing within a large organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and engineering support to workshop and static equipment maintenance in the plant.
• Monitor workshop activities for efficiency and compliance with procedures.
• Provide technical support to troubleshoot fabrication, welding and machining issues inside the plant.
• Coordinate replacements or obsolete equipment and develop repair strategies.
• Provide technical advice on development proposals involving modifications to existing systems and ensure policy compliance.
• Prepare preventive maintenance plans and implement to reduce downtime and optimize resources.
• Review ongoing workshop maintenance and repair projects to provide engineering support for completion.
• Prepare and verify procedures/methodologies for critical fabrication, welding and machining maintenance jobs to meet standards.
• Carry out multidisciplinary workshop activities and overhaul work for availability and safe operations.
• Participate in pre-qualification and procurement through technical review, order finalization and follow-up for timely delivery.
• Prepare requisitions for materials, tools and safety equipment and raise direct charge PR/PFS for non-stock items and service PR for repairable items.
