Job summary

Talent Asia Consulting seeks a skilled Mechanical Erection Supervisor in the UAE to lead FRP cooling tower projects on site. You will supervise erection and installation, FRP piping fabrication and lifting operations, ensuring alignment with drawings and schedules.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of relevant experience in cooling tower projects, trade certifications, and the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams while maintaining quality and timely delivery. Immediate joiners preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical erection and installation.
• Hands-on experience with cooling tower erection projects preferred.
• Experience with FRP piping fabrication and installation, scaffolding, rigging and mechanical erection.
• Trade certificates and certifications relevant to the position are mandatory.
• Candidates should be physically fit and able to work in onshore environments.
• Good communication skills in English and ability to work in a multicultural team.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and execute mechanical erection and installation activities for FRP cooling tower projects as per project requirements, drawings and site schedules.
• Carry out FRP pipe fabrication, fitting, jointing and installation, including measurement, cutting, alignment and installation of FRP piping and associated components.
• Execute mechanical fabrication and installation works, including structural components, supports, equipment and piping-related activities.
• Manage and supervise scaffolding erection, dismantling and modification, ensuring proper access and support for construction activities.
• Perform rigging, lifting, shifting and positioning of mechanical/FRP components and equipment using appropriate lifting methods and site procedures.
• Coordinate manpower, tools, materials and equipment to ensure smooth and timely completion of site activities.
• Supervise fabrication, assembly, alignment and installation activities while maintaining required quality and workmanship standards.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, subcontractors and other site teams to resolve construction and installation issues.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, work permits, site safety procedures and project requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in the respective trade/position.
• Hands-on experience in cooling tower erection projects will be preferred.
• Relevant experience in FRP piping fabrication and installation, mechanical fabrication, scaffolding, rigging and mechanical erection as applicable to the position.
• Relevant trade certificates and certifications are mandatory as applicable to the position.
• Candidates should be physically fit and capable of working in an onshore project environment.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multicultural project team.
