Job summary

Petrofac is seeking an Engineer I - Projects based in Sharjah, UAE. The role focuses on reviewing contracts, coordinating multidisciplinary deliverables, and expediting supplier performance to meet project schedules.

You will engage with engineering, procurement, expediting teams and clients to mitigate delays, support risk management, and ensure accurate progress reporting. The position requires strong coordination and communication within a complex project environment.

Qualifications

• 6 years of project management experience in oil and gas.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts for scope, obligations, and schedules; prepare kickoff agenda and align deliverables with client expectations.
• Interface with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, and suppliers to ensure timely deliverables and conformity to POs and contractual terms.
• Expedite supplier activities, monitor shipments, and manage potential delays with corrective actions and risk mitigation.
• Maintain order progress records, coordinate post-award kickoffs, and support payment milestones with accurate documentation.
