Job summary

ARCCO (Al Raeel National General Contracting Co.) seeks an experienced Senior Planning Engineer for our Dubai head office. You will lead planning and scheduling across infrastructure projects, update baselines, and prepare progress reports and cash flow analyses.

Strong Primavera P6 skills and 10–15 years in construction are essential. The role demands rigorous resource estimation, critical path analysis, and effective coordination with site teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in Primavera P6 for monitoring and updating day-to-day maintenance activities.
• Infrastructure projects background (warehouses & facility buildings).
• Ability to use computerized planning systems; strong planning and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
• 10 to 15 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Experience and knowledge with ADNOC projects required.
• Currently in UAE and willing to relocate to Dubai/Abu Dhabi; available to join immediately.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, monitor progress, estimate resources and prepare reports.
• Prepare baseline schedule and update it according to the project.
• Prepare scope of work, bar charts and critical path diagrams for major jobs.
• Direct & indirect manpower histogram and maintenance planning.
• Review drawings, bar charts, and job procedures; ensure data presentation templates.
• Assess resource requirements (manpower, hours, materials, equipment) for timely availability.
• Coordinate with originators to prepare resource plans for projects.
• Manage backlog and schedule preventive/predictive maintenance and claims-related tasks.
• Monitor and track site, design and procurement activities; prepare tendering docs.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and project cash flow reports.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Responsible for Planning, execution, progress monitoring, resource estimation and Report Preparation.
• Preparation of Baseline Schedule
• Updating the baseline schedule according to the project.
• Prepare scope of work, bar charts and critical path diagrams for major jobs / group of jobsand follow up.
• Direct & Indirect manpower histogram
• Familiar with standards & specifications to perform the maintenance activities. Review engineering drawings, bar charts & job procedures.
• Checks incoming work requests for completeness, allocates a number and interacts with the team to assess job status in the field before finalizing plan.
• Determines requirements for resources such as manpower, skills, estimated man hours, material, spares and special support devices and equipment such as cranes, forklifts etc. in order to plan and requisition for the same.
• Works towards producing standards templates for work orders, work plans etc. to ensure systematic data presentation and maintenance.
• Acquires all information and inputs from originators of work requests to prepare a resource plan for required resources so that timely availability can be assured.
• Reviews work priorities with concerned personnels to assess backlog work, and to schedule preventive/predictive maintenance and condition monitoring programmes.
• Follows up on work progress to minimize variation from plan.
• Maintains information on backlog jobs pending due to resource unavailability, shutdown etc. and follows up with concerned departments to expedite work.
• Monitoring & Tracking of all site, design & procurement activities
• Prepare Preliminary Schedule and other related Planning documents for the Tendering Projects.
• Preparation & Presentation of Weekly & Monthly Progress Report
• Monthly project cash flow reports
• Attend project meeting and have good idea about extension of time & claims.
