Job summary

Sundus is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Planner for a client in the power generation sector in the UAE. The role focuses on planning and scheduling preventive, predictive, and corrective mechanical maintenance across a large plant, with emphasis on reliability.

You will manage work orders in IBM Maximo CMMS, prepare detailed job plans, coordinate with Operations and Stores, and support outage planning and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–10 years of maintenance experience in a large power plant, preferably a CCGT facility.
• Experience with GE heavy-duty F-class gas turbines or higher.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, and plant reliability.
• Proficiency in IBM Maximo CMMS; knowledge of MS Project and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• Fluency in English; Filipino language skills are a plus.
• Flexibility to work weekends or shifts when required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective mechanical maintenance activities.
• Prepare detailed job plans, including manpower, materials, spare parts, tools, and required resources.
• Manage work orders, maintenance backlogs, equipment history, and spare parts using IBM Maximo (CMMS).
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and Stores teams to prioritize maintenance activities and ensure resource availability.
• Analyze recurring mechanical equipment failures and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Review completed work orders and identify opportunities to improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Support planned shutdowns, outage planning, reporting, cost analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate spare parts availability and inventory requirements to support maintenance execution.
• Assist the Engineering Manager with maintenance budgeting and maintenance planning activities.
