Qualifications

Job Description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and professional Mechanical Inspector to join our construction supervision team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive mechanical inspections, ensuring strict compliance with UAE construction standards and international building codes, and supervising mechanical systems installation and testing. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with exceptional supervisory skills to maintain the highest quality standards throughout all construction projects while fostering a collaborative and transparent work environment.

• Conduct thorough and systematic inspections of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components, ensuring full compliance with UAE construction regulations and international standards
• Prepare detailed, accurate inspection reports and technical documentation, analyzing findings and recommending corrective actions with clear justification
• Supervise mechanical contractors and installation teams, ensuring work quality, adherence to project specifications, and timely project completion
• Verify mechanical systems functionality through comprehensive testing and commissioning procedures, documenting all results and certifications with precision
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve mechanical issues, maintain project progress, and support team objectives
• Maintain organized and accessible records of all inspections, test results, and compliance documentation for audit and regulatory purposes
• Identify potential safety hazards and non-conformances proactively, implementing corrective measures and preventive actions to ensure site safety
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior inspectors and site personnel on inspection procedures, quality standards, and best practices
• Monitor mechanical equipment performance and recommend maintenance or replacement strategies based on analytical assessment
• Ensure all work meets contractual requirements and quality assurance standards throughout the entire construction lifecycle
• Manage multiple inspection projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and organizational efficiency

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in mechanical inspection, quality assurance, construction supervision, or related construction field
• Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components
• Strong understanding of UAE construction codes, building regulations, and international construction standards
• Proficiency in technical documentation, blueprint reading, and CAD software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisive judgments and recommendations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are preferred
• Proficiency with inspection software, digital documentation systems, and data management tools
• Demonstrated supervisory and team leadership experience with proven ability to manage contractors and site personnel
• Comprehensive knowledge of safety protocols and demonstrated ability to enforce compliance on construction sites
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspection projects simultaneously with efficiency
• Proficiency with construction project management software and scheduling tools
• Experience in commissioning and testing procedures for mechanical systems
• Strong site safety management and quality assurance expertise
• Professional certifications in mechanical inspection, construction quality assurance, or related field are preferred
• Ability to prepare comprehensive technical reports and communicate findings to diverse stakeholders
