The candidate will lead teams, troubleshoot issues, coordinate with other trades, and mentor junior staff. Strong reading of drawings and 5+ years in construction are required, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or equivalent not required but high school diploma or trade certification preferred.
• Experience: minimum 5 years in a similar role in construction.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Our client, a leading construction company in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Foreman to join their team. As a Mechanical Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical aspects of various construction projects in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the work of mechanical technicians and other workers on site
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
• Plan and schedule work assignments to meet project deadlines
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and company policies
• Monitor and inspect work progress to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during construction
• Coordinate with other trades and departments to ensure smooth project execution
• Train and mentor junior staff on proper construction techniques and procedures
• Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and labor hours
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide updates on project status
• Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and utilized by workers
• Adhere to project budget and report any budget deviations to management
• Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to promote a safe work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, technical diploma or trade certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Excellent leadership and communication skillsStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good physical condition and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
• Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
