Job summary

Tanqeeb seeks an experienced Foreman to supervise civil construction, maintenance, renovation and fit-out projects across the UAE. You will manage labour, materials and site activities, ensuring progress, quality and adherence to plans and schedules.

The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge and the ability to coordinate with engineers, clients and teams across sites. UAE driving license is preferred and the position offers full-time employment with UAE-based benefits.

Qualifications

FOREMAN – CIVIL CONSTRUCTION, MAINTENANCE & FIT-OUT

Location: Dubai, UAE
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: AED 2,200 – 3,800 per month, depending on experience and suitability

We are looking for an experienced, responsible and technically capable Foreman to supervise day-to-day site operations across civil construction, maintenance, renovation and fit-out projects throughout the UAE.

The ideal candidate must be able to independently manage labour, site activities, materials, productivity, quality and daily work progress without requiring the Engineer to continuously supervise every activity.

We need a Foreman who understands the work, knows how to organize manpower, can identify site problems early, control material usage and wastage, and keep work progressing according to the planned sequence, quality requirements and timeframe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Site & Work Management

• Supervise daily site activities and ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, method statements, SOPs and project schedules.
• Plan daily activities and ensure the correct work sequence is followed.
• Ensure work is completed within the required timeframe.
• Monitor daily progress, workmanship and overall site productivity.
• Identify and report site problems, delays and technical issues to the Engineer.
• Assist in resolving site issues to prevent project delays.
• Maintain proper site organization and housekeeping.
• Support and coordinate manpower across multiple sites when required.

Labour & Manpower Management

• Lead and manage skilled workers, helpers, subcontractors and labour teams.
• Allocate workers according to the Engineer's instructions and ensure the right people are assigned to the right tasks.
• Manage manpower according to workload and project requirements.
• Monitor labour attendance and productivity.
• Maintain daily attendance records.
• Minimize unnecessary downtime and keep the workforce productive.
• Maintain site discipline and ensure workers follow company rules and instructions.
• Supervise multicultural workforces and maintain effective team coordination.

Technical & Quality Supervision

• Monitor ongoing works and ensure proper execution.
• Read and understand construction drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Ensure work complies with project specifications, quality standards and client requirements.
• Monitor workmanship and identify poor-quality or incorrect work.
• Inspect completed works and ensure defects are rectified before client/consultant inspections.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, QA/QC Engineers and HSE Officers.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants and clients when required.

Material & Store Management

• Ensure required materials, tools and equipment are available before work begins.
• Monitor material availability and inform the Engineer in advance of requirements.
• Maintain manual site/store stock records.
• Track material usage and control material wastage.
• Report excessive or unnecessary wastage.
• Ensure materials are properly organized, stored and used efficiently.

Health, Safety & Reporting

• Conduct toolbox talks when required.
• Ensure workers follow health and safety requirements and properly use PPE.
• Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
• Report unsafe conditions and site concerns.
• Provide regular updates regarding progress, manpower, attendance, productivity, materials, delays and site issues.
• Submit daily/site reports to management as required.

SALARY

With Valid UAE Driving Licence: AED 2,500 – 3,800

Without UAE Driving Licence: AED 2,200 – 3,300

Salary will depend on the candidate's experience, technical skills, leadership ability and overall suitability.

IMPORTANT

We are looking for a genuine experienced Foreman, not someone who only distributes labour.

The successful candidate must be capable of taking responsibility for:

The Engineer should not need to continuously stand over the Foreman to ensure basic work is being carried out.

• Strong practical and technical knowledge of construction and site activities.
• Proven ability to manage and lead labour teams independently.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, finishing, repair and maintenance works.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, method statements and work instructions.
• Good manpower planning and productivity management skills.
• Good understanding of materials, material usage and wastage control.
• Ability to identify workmanship and quality issues.
• Strong leadership, planning and team management skills.
• Experience managing multicultural workforces.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good English communication skills. Hindi, Urdu or Arabic is an advantage.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Willingness to support multiple sites when required.
• UAE site experience preferred.
• Valid UAE driving licence preferred.
