Job summary

Ejadah Asset Management Group LLC in Dubai seeks a Mechanical Engineer to review contractor drawings for FitOut projects, provide comments per DEWA, DCD and DIFC guidelines, and coordinate timely feedback via portal or email.

You will lead meetings with contractors, monitor authority approvals, perform MSRA-aligned reviews, and ensure installations meet standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years experience in FitOut/construction projects in UAE.
• Knowledge of authority standards such as DCD, DM, DEWA.
• Competent in reviewing drawings inline with authority standards and giving comments and approvals.
• Well experienced in managing/overseeing FitOut activities and ensuring installations are done inline with approved MSRA.
• Thorough knowledge of testing and commissioning of MEP systems.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings submitted by contractors for different projects and provide feedback based on DEWA, DCD and DIFC guidelines.
• Ensure timely completion of FitOut projects by meeting deadlines.
• Arrange meetings with contractors to explain drawing review comments when required.
• Monitor authority design approval process and inspection approvals for the project.
• Coordinate with FM team for CHW isolation and air balancing activities.
• Notify affected tenants during CHW isolation.
• Provide instructions to site inspectors to coordinate with contractors.
• Provide corrective measures during regular site visits.
• Attend first‑fix inspection and final inspection to ensure functionality before final approval.
• Achieve high client satisfaction by delivering FitOut solutions meeting expectations in functionality, reliability and aesthetics.
• Verify authority‑approved drawings.
• Review method statements for TVR modification works.
• Coordinate inspection timings and close on portal with checklists.
• Notify engineers in case of non‑standard works and inform QHSE if unsafe works are noticed.
• Follow up with BMS team for utility meter commissioning.

Job description

Review the drawings submitted by contractors for different projects and provide the feedback with necessary comments based on DEWA, DCD and DIFC guidelines within the allotted time frame on the portal or through e‑mail.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensure timely completion of FitOut projects by meeting project deadlines.
• Arrange meetings with contractors to explain drawing review comments when required.
• Closely monitor the authority design approval process and inspection approvals for the project.
• Conduct feasibility studies for MEP provisions upgrade as per tenant requirements based on existing site conditions.
• Coordinate with FM team for CHW isolation and air balancing activities.
• Notify and obtain confirmation from all affected tenants during CHW isolation.
• Provide instructions to site inspectors to coordinate with contractors.
• Provide corrective measures during regular site visits.
• Attend first‑fix inspection and provide feedback with corrective measures to facilitate the false ceiling closure.
• Attend final inspection and ensure proper functionality of each service before issuing final approval.
• Achieve high client satisfaction by delivering exceptional FitOut solutions that meet or exceed client expectations in terms of functionality, reliability and aesthetics.
• Conduct proper follow‑ups, monitoring and inspections for each project to maintain the quality of work.
• Verify authority‑approved drawings.
• Review the method statement submitted by contractor for the TVR modification works.
• Coordinate with each other for inspection timings and close on the portal with first and final inspection checklists.
• Notify concerned engineers in case of non‑standard works or any issues related to their trades, and notify the QHSE team if any unsafe works are noticed.
• Follow up with the BMS team for the utility meter commissioning work.

Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6–8 years experience in FitOut/construction projects in UAE.
• Good understanding of all MEP installations comprising HVAC systems, drainage & plumbing, Electrical.
• Knowledge of authority standards such as DCD, DM, DEWA.
• Competent in reviewing drawings inline with authority standards and giving comments and approvals.
• Well experienced in managing/overseeing FitOut activities and ensuring installations are done inline with approved MSRA.
• Thorough knowledge of testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
