Job summary

Gulf Contracting & Landscaping (GCL) in Dubai is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to plan, coordinate, supervise, and inspect MEP works on building projects. You will ensure installations meet drawings, specs, quality standards, and local regulations to support timely delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, 5–8 years of MEP experience on residential, commercial, mixed-use, or hospitality developments, and UAE/GCC familiarity.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

The MEP Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and inspecting Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works on building construction projects. The role ensures all MEP installations are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and local authority regulations while supporting timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works on-site.
• Review MEP shop drawings, coordinated drawings, and technical submittals.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve design and site issues.
• Ensure MEP works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, and local authority requirements.
• Monitor project progress and ensure MEP activities are completed within the project schedule.
• Review material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests (IRs).
• Conduct site inspections and ensure quality workmanship.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities for all MEP systems.
• Attend coordination and progress meetings with consultants and clients.
• Support procurement by reviewing technical specifications and supplier submissions.
• Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and QA/QC procedures throughout project execution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 5-8 years of MEP experience on building construction projects.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.
• UAE Driving License is an advantage.
