Job summary

Al Khayam Al Arabiah Tents & Shades LLC is seeking an on-site MEP Engineer to review and interpret drawings, supervise installation, and coordinate with civil/structural teams to avoid clashes for tents and related structures.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of UAE MEP experience, with knowledge of Civil Defense and DEWA/SEWA requirements, and strong skills in AutoCAD and MEP design coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of MEP experience, ideally in construction or tensile/structural projects.
• UAE experience preferred, including familiarization with Civil Defense and DEWA/SEWA.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret MEP drawings and specifications.
• Supervise installation of HVAC, ventilation, electrical, lighting, and plumbing systems on-site.
• Coordinate MEP works with civil/structural teams to avoid clashes and ensure smooth integration.
• Ensure compliance with UAE codes and safety requirements for fire and life safety.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
• Prepare technical submittals and shop drawings for MEP works.
• Coordinate with MEP subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Identify and resolve on-site design conflicts.
• Support testing and commissioning of MEP systems before handover.
• Maintain MEP documentation and as-built drawings.
• Assist in material take-offs and cost estimates when needed.
• Ensure health and safety during MEP installation.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret MEP drawings specifications and technical documents
• Supervise installation of mechanical HVAC ventilation electrical power lighting low current and plumbing systems on-site
• Coordinate MEP works with civil structural teams to avoid clashes and ensure smooth integration relevant for tents shades structures with lighting ventilation fire safety systems etc
• Ensure compliance with UAE electrical mechanical codes civil defense fire safety requirements and international standards
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress quality and adherence to specifications
• Prepare technical submittals material approvals and shop drawings for MEP works
• Coordinate with MEP subcontractors suppliers and consultants
• Identify and resolve technical issues or design conflicts on-site
• Support testing and commissioning of MEP systems before handover
• Maintain MEP documentation inspection reports and as-built drawings
• Assist in MEP-related material take-offs and cost estimates when needed
• Ensure health safety compliance during MEP installation works

• Good problem-solving and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication skills for liaising with contractors, consultants, and authorities
