Job summary

Wamdhah Metal Industries LLC SP is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with strong sheet metal design, steel fabrication and genset enclosure experience. You will prepare 2D drawings and 3D models, review specs and coordinate with production to ensure practical, cost-effective designs.

Responsibilities include designing sheet metal components, enclosures, BOMs, and fabrication drawings, and developing designs for laser cutting, CNC punching, bending, welding, and powder coating.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication, steel fabrication, or genset manufacturing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software.
• Knowledge of sheet metal design, bending allowances, welding symbols, fabrication methods, and material specifications.
• Experience preparing fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented strong Mechanical Design Engineer strong with experience in sheet metal design steel fabrication and generator set genset enclosures The candidate will be responsible for preparing 2D drawings and 3D models developing fabrication drawings reviewing technical specifications and coordinating with production and engineering teams to ensure designs are accurate practical and cost-effective

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D engineering drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD SolidWorks or similar design software
• Design sheet metal components electrical enclosures acoustic canopies generator enclosures control panel cabinets and fabricated steel structures
• Prepare fabrication drawings assembly drawings cutting layouts bending details and bills of materials BOMs
• Develop designs for laser cutting CNC punching sheet metal bending welding machining and powder coating
• Perform design calculations and material selection based on project requirements
• Optimize designs for manufacturability material utilization cost efficiency and ease of assembly
• Coordinate with production fabrication estimation procurement and quality control teams able to calculate sound and temperature levels for Gensets
