Job summary

GAL Global Aerospace Logistics seeks a Mechanic - 2nd Line Bell 407 to join our Abu Dhabi team. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft and help ensure fleet readiness.

You will assist the maintenance supervisor, document activities per required publications, and may support crew duties during maintenance flights as needed in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance tasks.
• Imparts knowledge and on-the-job training for customer trainees.
• Completes forms and records per applicable publications and local policies.
• May perform crew member duties to assist maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspection, servicing and repair of aircraft and equipment.
• Assist supervisor to accomplish the company mission.
• Record all maintenance activities accurately and timely.
• Support in training and mentoring junior technicians.
• Handle verification and documentation per DA PAM 738-751 and local procedures.

Overview

Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance tasks. Reports directly to the Supervisor for all aspects of aircraft, facility, tool and equipment, and administrative requirements.

• Assist the maintenance supervisor to accomplish the company's mission.
• Performs inspection, servicing, and repair of aircraft and equipment IAW applicable technical publications and local policies and procedures. Assists in ensuring aircraft and equipment are maintained in a high state of mission readiness.
• Impart the knowledge of duties and responsibilities in such a manner (advice support and OJT training) to permit assimilation of the customer's trainees; the final aim being to enable the customer's technicians to attain gradual full capacity to carry out maintenance.
• Completes all forms, records, and documents recording aircraft maintenance activities IAW DA PAM 738-751, applicable technical publications, and local policies and proceedures.
• May be requested to perform rated and/or non-rated crew member duties to facilitate completion of maintenance activities such as Maintenance Test Flights, Maintenance Operational Checks, and operation of diagnostic equipment during ground and/or flight (subject to completion of a flight physical).
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Lead.
