Job summary

GAL Global Aerospace Logistics in the United Arab Emirates seeks a skilled Mechanic - Aviation Maintenance to perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance tasks and ensure readiness of aircraft and equipment.

Under supervision, you will assist the maintenance supervisor, complete records, and support on-the-job training to raise the maintenance team's capacity. The role involves adhering to technical publications and local procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have experience performing scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance tasks.
• Familiarity with aviation maintenance standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the maintenance supervisor to accomplish the company's mission.
• Performs inspection, servicing, and repair of aircraft and equipment in accordance with applicable technical publications and local policies and procedures.
• Impart knowledge and provide on-the-job training to trainees to enable gradual capacity building of customer technicians.
• Completes all forms, records, and documents recording aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with DA PAM 738-751 and local policies and procedures.
• May be asked to perform rated or non-rated crew member duties to support maintenance activities such as Maintenance Test Flights and diagnostic operations (subject to flight physical).
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Lead.

Overview

Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance tasks. Reports directly to the Supervisor for all aspects of aircraft, facility, tool and equipment, and administrative requirements.

1. Assist the maintenance supervisor to accomplish the company's mission.
2. Performs inspection, servicing, and repair of aircraft and equipment IAW applicalbe technical publications and local policies and proceedures. Assists in ensuring aircraft and equipment are maintained in a high state of mission readiness.
3. Impart the knowledge of duties and responsibilities in such a manner (advice support and OJT training) to permit assimilation of the customer's trainees; the final aim being to enable the customer's technicians to attain gradual full capacity to carry out maintenance.
4. Completes all forms, records, and documents recording aircraft maintenance activities IAW DA PAM 738-751, applicable technical publications, and local policies and proceedures.
5. May be requested to perform rated and/or non-rated crew member duties to facilitate completion of maintenance activities such as Maintenance Test Flights, Maintenance Operational Checks, and operation of diagnostic equipment during ground and/or flight (subject to completion of a flight physical).
6. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Lead.
