Job summary

Dynamic Aviation in Abu Dhabi seeks a B1/B2 Aircraft Mechanic to repair, fault isolate, install, and modify Global 6000 airframe and avionics systems. You will diagnose using test equipment, read manuals, and perform maintenance while ensuring safety and quality.

Candidates should have a valid B1/B2 license (A&P preferred) and be willing to relocate for at least two years. The role requires shift work, weekend coverage, and knowledge of schematics; prior experience with Bombardier Global 6000 is

Qualifications

  • Valid B1/B2 License required.
  • A&P certificate preferred.
  • Bombardier Global 6000 experience preferred.
  • High school education required; electronics trade school or military training equivalent for repairing electronics preferred.
  • Experience with modification and wiring installation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience in fault isolation and repair of avionics systems.
  • Relocation to Abu Dhabi for a minimum of two years.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to read and use schematics and blueprints preferred.
  • Ability to pass a security background check to obtain a base pass.
  • AS9110c environment and FAA Part 145 knowledge are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft airframe and avionics systems.
  • Troubleshoot and test instruments, components, and assemblies using circuit testers, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, etc.
  • Inspect, maintain, and install electronic systems such as navigational systems, radar technology, radio communication systems, flight control tools, and other avionics systems.
  • Perform operational/functional checks on aircraft electrical systems and equipment.
  • Operate equipment to test, diagnose, locate, and repair deficiencies.
  • Assemble components including switches, electrical controls, and junction boxes.
  • Lay out installation of aircraft assemblies and systems.
  • Install, route, upgrade, and repair wire harnesses.
  • Install avionics equipment per engineering drawings while following wiring standards.
  • Perform basic soldering, harness build up and installation including wire stripping and crimping, fault isolation and repair of avionics system failures.
  • Read and interpret technical data including OEM manuals, wiring diagrams, etc., to direct maintenance repairs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment and report unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain communication with assigned Team Lead for task updates and status reports.
  • Assist/perform B1/B2 tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as required.

Purpose

The B1/B2 Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for repair, fault isolation, installation, fabrication, modification, on Global 6000 aircraft airframe and avionics systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and install electronic systems, such as navigational systems, radar technology, radio communication systems, flight control tools, and other avionics systems
  • Perform operational/functional checks on aircraft electrical systems and equipment
  • Operate equipment to test, diagnose, locate, and repair deficiencies
  • Utilize a strong understanding of electronic theory to effect timely repairs
  • Assemble components including switches, electrical controls, and junction boxes
  • Lay out installation of aircraft assemblies and systems
  • Install, route, upgrade, and repair wire harnesses
  • Install avionics equipment per engineering drawings while following wiring standards
  • Perform basic soldering, harness build up and installation including wire stripping and crimping, fault isolation and repair of avionics system failures
  • Read and interpret technical data including original equipment manufacturer maintenance manuals, illustrated part catalogs, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, etc. to direct maintenance repairs
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment and report any unsafe conditions
  • Maintain responsibility for proper execution of parts tag instructions in accordance with the Repair Station Quality Control Manual
  • Maintain communication with assigned Team Lead for task updates and status reports
  • Assist/perform B1/B2 tasks as needed
  • Other duties as required
Skills/Qualifications
  • Valid B1/B2 License is required, A&P certificate preferred
  • Bombardier Global 6000 experience preferred, trade school, with 3-5 years experience preferred
  • High school education required; electronics trade school or military training equivalent for repairing electronics preferred
  • Experience with modification and wiring installation
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience in fault isolation and repair of avionics systems
  • Have modification and wiring installation experience
  • Ability to perform database updates
  • Experience in the use of common hand and special tools/testers as required to perform avionics maintenance tasks
  • Ability to relocate to Abu Dhabi for a minimum of two years
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Perform On the Job training with the UAE Airforce personnel
  • Ability to read and use schematics and blueprints preferred
  • Ability to pass a security background check to obtain a base pass
  • Experience working in an AS9110c environment, FAA Part 145 knowledge preferred
  • Ability to work in tight spaces, work at elevated heights, lift, balance and carry 50 lb
