Job summary

Citigroup in the UAE, within the Services Controls organization, seeks an experienced Controls leader for the MEA cluster. The role partners with Operations, Product and Geography to ensure a unified risk and control delivery across 29 markets, moving towards forward-looking risk reduction and process improvements.

Senior contributor role, focusing on strong governance, regulatory alignment in MEA, and embedding best practices into transformation workstreams while enhancing client experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• 10+ years of expertise in Operational Risk Management or related regulatory function.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive risk-reduction initiatives across the MEA cluster and drive forward-looking reviews.
• Define and execute MEA Controls strategy in line with Services Controls framework.
• Act as primary Controls partner to MEA Operations, bridging Operations, Product and Geography teams.
• Provide advisory on control design, effectiveness, and remediation for Transaction Banking and financial products.
• Identify enhancements to documentation controls and MCA-related processes to meet regulatory requirements.
• Support Transformation programs by embedding first-line risk and control best practices.
• Chair governance meetings, manage agendas, and ensure follow-up on actions.
• Escalate and resolve control issues and risk events across the MEA cluster.
