Job summary

Citi in the United Arab Emirates seeks a senior Controls leader to shape risk and control delivery across the MEA region, partnering with Operations, Product and Geography teams to ensure a unified approach to risk management and client experience.

You will drive proactive risk reduction, oversee governance, and align with transformation programs while maintaining rigorous controls and regulatory compliance across multiple markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 10+ years in Operational Risk.
• Deep understanding of operational risk frameworks in banking.
• Experience monitoring regulatory compliance and MCA constructs.

Responsibilities

• Drive proactive risk reduction across MEA via thematic reviews and early gap identification.
• Define and execute MEA Controls strategy aligned with Services framework.
• Serve as primary Controls partner to MEA Operations and bridge between Operations, Product and Geography teams.
• Provide strategic advisory on control design, effectiveness, and remediation across Transaction Banking and financial products.
• Identify improvements to documentation, controls, and processes, including MCA constructs.
• Support Transformation agenda by embedding risk and control best practices in transformation workstreams.
