Job summary

A leading global energy management company seeks a Communications Leader to oversee external and internal communication strategies. This role requires extensive experience in public relations, particularly within B2B industries such as energy and healthcare. Member of Schneider Electric Global Marketing MEA Leadership Team, the Communications Leader will be responsible for end-to-end planning and execution of External and Internal communication activities for Schneider Electric in MEA. This will be a people management role and will report to Global Marketing VP, MEA Schneider Electric.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Global Marketing VP for Schneider Electric MEA, this role requires a dynamic and proactive communications professional who is adept in understanding the Business Goals + Strategic Priorities of the organization to create a compelling communication narrative to position the organization externally with Media Journalists, Media Houses, Policy Makers, External Media Agencies and internally with employees and stakeholders.
  • End to End responsibility for both External and Internal Communications covering all Functions and Businesses.
  • Develop a Compelling Communication Narrative & External Communications Calendar for Schneider Electric MEA (Company Wide), Functions (Marketing, HR, Finance & more) and for all Strategic Business Units.
  • Responsible for creating a structure and plan for external and internal communication in the zone with clusters and oversees the execution.
  • Accelerate Schneider Electric positioning as a Tier 1 Energy Management & NextGen Automation company with strong focus on Sustainability, Software and Services.
  • Serve as a Trusted Communications Advisor to MEA Zone President, MEA Global Marketing VP, Strategic Business Unit Heads and Other Key Functional Leaders
  • Grow Brand Share of Voice with all Top C Level and Tier 1 Media.
  • Excellent Strategic Content Creation and Execution skills by working closely with MEA Zone President and Global Marketing VP in order to Accelerate Schneider Electric positioning as a Global Leader in Energy Management & NextGen Automation.
  • Be responsible for driving overall results from the communication activities – Grow Brand Share of Voice, Increased Brand Presence in C Level and Tier 1 Media, Plan & Execute Strategic Events for Zone President, Global Marketing VP and Other Leadership Team Members.

Skills And Attributes for Success
  • Extensive experience in managing both External and Internal Communications profile with Tier 1 Companies working as a Head – Public Relations / Head – Corporate Communications
  • Minimum ~ 15 experience working with Top multinationals leading the Public Relations / Communications function.
  • B2B experience is strongly preferred from Industries like Industrials, Energy Management, Healthcare, HVAC, Automobiles, Consulting, Oil and Gas and Other Industrial Sectors
  • Strong people management and leadership experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong experience of working in a matrix organization across various time zones
  • Proven track record of Media Management working with Top Public Relation Agencies, Media Houses, Journalists and Policy makers.
  • Excellent Strategic Content development and execution skills. Journalism experience if any is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Proven capability to support the business ambitions with high-quality, relevant, audience-centric integrated communication campaigns.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving and delegation abilities, ability to manage complex global processes and programs
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong multi-tasking skills and ability to strategize & execute within tight timelines.
  • A self-motivated team-player with an open 'can-do' attitude with high levels of energy
  • Good Knowledge of Marketing Automation tools - Adobe Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Tableau etc.
  • Strong Competency in Microsoft applications including Powerpoint, Word, Excel etc.
