Job summary

Cigna Healthcare, a division of The Cigna Group, is seeking a Head of Legal for the MEA region, based in Dubai. You will lead the MEA Legal team, partnering with compliance, audit and regional leadership to support strategic objectives and regulatory compliance.

You will coach the MEA team, draft and negotiate complex agreements, and guide multi‑party transactions while maintaining high ethical standards in a fast‑paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years post-qualification legal experience, including 4+ years in an international law firm.
• Excellent drafting and negotiating skills with experience drafting complex legal agreements.
• Solid experience running complex, multi‑party transactions from end to end.
• People management experience including team coaching, mentoring and career development.
• Strong ability to interact with senior leadership, external counsel and stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of the MEA region's regulatory and legal framework.
• Health insurance experience preferred but not essential.
• Ability to collaborate across global teams and respond to cross‑border sensitivities.
• Demonstrate ethics and integrity at all times.

Responsibilities

• Act as Head of Legal for Cigna Middle East and Africa.
• Influence and collaborate with business leaders and legal functions to define objectives for the MEA region.
• Provide timely updates to MEA senior leadership on legal developments affecting the business.
• Support, coach and develop the MEA legal team.
• Collaborate to ensure compliance with legal/regulatory requirements and business needs.
• Be accountable for local legal and regulatory advice and its practical effects.
• Draft, review and advise on contracts, group plans, NDAs and policy terms.
• Manage claims, litigation and dispute resolution across MEA.
• Promote the Cigna Ethics program and integrity culture.
