Job summary

The Cigna Group seeks a Head of MEA Legal based in Dubai to lead the MEA Legal team and partner with MEA Compliance, reporting to the MEA Chief Counsel. You will work with regional CEOs, CFOs, COOs and HR to align legal strategy with business goals across the MEA region.

As senior lawyer you will provide timely legal and regulatory advice, coach the MEA legal team, draft and review contracts and group plans, manage disputes, and ensure compliance with local laws while supporting growth across a

Qualifications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to guide on complex matters clearly and timely.
Leadership experience with the ability to interact with senior leadership, external counsel and stakeholders.
Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience in law, with at least 4 years in an international law firm.
Excellent drafting and negotiating skills; experience drafting complex legal agreements.
Solid experience running complex, multi-party transactions end-to-end.
People management experience including coaching, mentoring and career development.
Strong understanding of the Middle East regulatory and legal framework.

Responsibilities

Act as Head of Legal for Cigna Middle East and Africa.
Influence and collaborate with business leaders, compliance, audit, information protection, privacy and legal leadership to define and support MEA objectives.
Provide timely updates to MEA senior leadership on key legal developments.
Support, coach and develop the MEA legal team.
Ensure the MEA business operates within legal/regulatory frameworks and business requirements.
Be a champion for the Cigna Ethics program.
