Client of Teach East is seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to deliver engaging lessons in an on-site Abu Dhabi school. You will plan and deliver well-structured math lessons across assigned grade levels, using concrete, pictorial, and abstract approaches to build deep understanding.
The role requires a strong classroom presence, ability to differentiate, assess progress with formative and summative methods, and to collaborate with colleagues while upholding safeguarding standards.

Plan and deliver engaging well-structured mathematics lessons across assigned grade levels e g Middle High School or Upper Primary in line with the school curriculum and learning objectives Teach mathematical concepts clearly using concrete pictorial and abstract approaches to build deep conceptual understanding Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of learners with diverse abilities including those requiring additional support or extension enrichment Use formative and summative assessments e g quizzes tests mental Maths investigations to monitor progress inform planning and provide timely feedback Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress and prepare reports for parents school leadership and annual reviews Create a positive inclusive and well-managed classroom environment that encourages mathematical reasoning problem-solving and a growth mindset Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress areas for improvement and strategies to support learning at home Collaborate with colleagues within the mathematics department and across other subjects to promote cross-curricular numeracy and whole-school initiatives Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures promoting student safety and welfare at all times Participate in extra-curricular activities e g maths club numeracy week competitions school events and professional development to support the broader school community
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related subject.
Postgraduate teacher training (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., M.Ed.) or equivalent is preferred.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an internationally recognized teaching qualification (e.g., US state certification, Australian teaching registration, etc.).
Proven classroom experience as a mathematics teacher, preferably in an international, British-curriculum, or multicultural setting.
Strong knowledge of relevant mathematics curricula (e.g., UK National Curriculum, IB MYP/DP Mathematics, Common Core, or similar) and assessment practices.
Ability to use manipulatives, technology, and real-world contexts to enhance mathematical learning.
Excellent classroom management skills, clear communication, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative working within a school team.
Enhanced DBS check or equivalent background check (or willingness to undergo relevant checks as part of employment processes).
