Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Material Inspector in Abu Dhabi to oversee construction materials quality for large-scale infrastructure projects. The role requires on-site work and close collaboration with the Material Engineer and QA/QC team.

You will inspect, verify, and document material submittals, coordinate testing, and ensure compliance with technical specs and BOQs. A Diploma in Civil Engineering and 7+ years of field experience are required.

Qualifications

• Requires Diploma in Civil Engineering and at least seven years of construction material inspection experience.
• Experience inspecting concrete, asphalt, aggregates, soil, pipes, fittings, precast products, and utility materials.
• Strong knowledge of inspection procedures, QA/QC documentation, and project quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction materials on-site for conformance with submittals and technical requirements.
• Review certificates of conformity, test certificates, and related documentation.
• Coordinate material sampling and laboratory/field testing per ITPs and project specs.
• Maintain accurate material inspection records and MIRs; ensure traceability through handover.
• Communicate inspection findings to Material Engineer and QA/QC teams.
