Job summary

HKA in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced disputes consultant to support complex quantum analyses, damages assessments and construction claims across infrastructure and energy projects.

Working with leading experts, you will review project records, contracts and cost data to establish entitlement, contribute to expert reports for arbitration or litigation, and help nurture client relationships while supporting business development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• Experience in quantum consulting, quantity surveying, commercial management or construction claims.
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in supporting complex disputes across the construction, infrastructure, energy and engineering sectors.

Working alongside recognised industry experts, you will be involved in the preparation and evaluation of quantum claims, damages assessments and expert witness engagements, while helping clients navigate challenging commercial issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Depending On Your Experience Level, Responsibilities Will Include

• Preparing and reviewing quantum analyses, damages assessments and construction claims.
• Evaluating project records, contracts, cost documentation and financial data to establish claim entitlement and quantum.
• Supporting the preparation of expert reports for arbitration, litigation and other formal dispute resolution proceedings.
• Assisting in the development and testing of expert opinions through detailed technical and commercial analysis.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships through the delivery of high-quality work and trusted advice.
• Supporting business development initiatives, including proposals, client engagement activities and market-facing events.

Skills and Experience

We are interested in hearing from ambitious professionals with experience in quantum consulting, quantity surveying, commercial management or construction claims who are looking to further develop their careers within a leading global disputes consultancy.

You Will Typically Have

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure or energy projects.
• Demonstrable experience preparing, assessing or managing quantum claims and commercial disputes.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, project commercial management and cost analysis.
• Excellent analytical, report writing and communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience supporting dispute resolution proceedings, including arbitration or litigation, would be advantageous.
• Membership of a relevant professional body such as MRICS, AIQS, CIOB or equivalent is desirable.
