Job summary

Six Construct is seeking a senior legal professional to oversee complex construction claims and disputes in a dynamic environment. You will lead dispute resolution efforts, advise on regulatory matters, and drive non-contentious support across contracts and risk management.

Ideal candidates have 3+ PQE in project finance and infrastructure, with a strong track record in management, negotiation, and strategic advisory. Arabic or French fluency is a plus; a competitive benefits package awaits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 PQE with project finance, PPP, infrastructure and construction experience.
• Proven experience as a legal counsel in a business environment.
• Understanding of external factors influencing a corporation.
• Ability to develop defensive or proactive legal strategies.
• High ethics, integrity and sound judgment.
• Excellent managerial and negotiation skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and/or French is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale construction claims and disputes, including negotiation and ADR.
• Provide non-contentious support: dispute avoidance, contract reviews, and negotiations.
• Support end-to-end management of contentious matters.
• Advise on laws and regulations; understand local courts and arbitration forums.
• Supervise and train legal professionals and consultants.
• Develop and implement legal strategies and solutions.
• Deliver presentations and reports to stakeholders.

Job description

What Youll Drive

• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large scale construction claims and disputes (including claims preparation negotiation adjudication mediation and all types of ADR).
• Involvement in non-contentious (including dispute avoidance training and workshops drafting agreements and standard terms and conditions contract reviews and negotiation and providing management and site team with practical advice on specialist large scale complex or problem projects).
• Tracked record experience in providing end to end support in the management of contentious matters.
• Knowledge of the range of applicable laws and regulations which impact on all facets of the operations.
• Knowledge and understanding of local courts system and arbitration forum (ICC DIAC DIFC).
• Ability to analyze and interpret issues and to prepare legal opinions.
• Ability to supervise and train employees to include organizing prioritizing and scheduling work assignments.
• Knowledge of current and developing legal issues and trends in area of expertise.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate the work of legal professionals paraprofessionals and consultants.

Qualifications :
