Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

Support the AVP of assurance & monitoring in performing AML/CFT related control testing programs in line with GCDD procedures.

Follow and implement the annual review schedule in accordance with regulatory requirements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
QA & testing
  • Perform the approved assurance testing plan and identify key compliance-related risks and issues.
  • Ensure assurance testing is performed according to agreed milestones.
  • Track and monitor all assurance testing issues to completion.
  • Follow up with the business as required.
  • Promote internal control awareness and demonstrate the contribution of Assurance and Monitoring.
  • Track and close recommendations.
  • Perform trend analysis and advise on corrective measures.
  • Manage ad hoc & administrative activities as assigned by line managers.
Professional / Technical
  • The role requires analyzing and challenging complex activities considering regulatory requirements.
  • Solid analytical skills, including identifying discrepancies while managing, reviewing, and gathering data.
  • Ability to critically analyze data to identify trends, themes, and outliers.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality work.
Audit
  • Follow up and provide technical support to the Risk and Control team to assist in closing Group Internal Audit / Regulatory / Group Compliance findings.
Reporting
  • Ensure assurance testing results are recorded and reported to the AVP - Head of KYC Review & Onboarding.
  • Write high-quality reports presenting review results and findings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Management, Banking, or Finance, preferably with certifications in compliance, corporate governance, risk management, or internal audit.
  • 3-5 years of banking experience, preferably in a reputable international bank with experience in highly regulated jurisdictions.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience within a KYC role.
  • Internal Audit experience and Compliance Assurance background are advantageous.
  • Relevant experience in Compliance/AML/KYC/Transaction Monitoring.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
