Job summary

Julphar is seeking a manufacturing supervisor in Ras Al Khaimah to oversee day-to-day production and packaging in the Lactam Value Stream, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.

The role requires a pharmacy degree with extensive pharma industry experience and strong English communication. You will lead operators, coordinate with QA, Planning, and Engineering, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
• 10 years experience in pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking of English Language.

Responsibilities

• Safety: Ensure team adherence to EMS/HSE; lead incident investigations and corrective actions; drive environmental performance and HSE culture.
• Quality: Ensure production/packaging comply with cGMP, GDP, ALCOA++; review logs and records; coordinate with QA for line clearance and deviations; support CAPA and audits.
• Supply: Plan daily/weekly production to meet schedules; monitor OEE, yield and downtime; coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Warehouse and QA for readiness; ensure manpower and shift handover.

Responsible for supervising day-to-day manufacturing and packaging operations in the Lactam Value Stream, ensuring compliance with Safety, Quality, and Supply objectives. The role involves leading operators and technicians, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring smooth execution of production and packaging processes within approved timelines and standards.

Safety Responsibilities

• Ensure team adherence to EMS and HSE requirements through monitoring, training, and guidance.
• Lead incident investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
• Drive departmental initiatives for environmental performance improvement and HSE culture.

Quality Responsibilities

• Ensure all production and packaging activities are performed in compliance with cGMP, GDP, and data integrity (ALCOA++) principles.
• Review and verify BMRs/BPRs, logbooks, and process records for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate line clearance, in-process checks, and documentation review with QA.
• Identify and elevate deviations, support CAPA implementation, and ensure timely closure of QMS actions.
• Maintain readiness for internal/external audits, self-inspections, and validation activities.

Supply Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily and weekly production and packaging operations to meet approved schedules and campaign targets.
• Monitor OEE, yield, downtime, and material utilization, ensuring effective resource deployment.
• Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Warehouse, and QA to ensure material and equipment readiness.
• Ensure manpower availability, effective shift handover, and continuity of operations.

Contribute to continuous improvement projects aimed at productivity, waste reduction, and efficiency enhancement.

Qualification/Functional Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
• 10 Years experience in pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking of English Language
