Role & responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for supply chain operations.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business scenarios, operational initiatives, and strategic investments.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Capital Investment & Business Case Evaluation
- Review and evaluate business cases for capital investments, including logistics infrastructure, automation, warehousing, and technology projects.
- Assess investment proposals based on ROI, payback period, NPV, cash flow implications, and strategic relevance.
- Partner with business teams to ensure optimal allocation of capital resources.
Supply Chain Performance Management
- Analyze key supply chain metrics and drivers including inventory, warehousing, transportation, fulfillment costs, and freight performance.
- Provide financial insights to improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability across the supply chain network.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Governance, Controls & Compliance
- Establish and strengthen financial controls, governance mechanisms, and process frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, accounting standards, and internal control requirements.
- Drive process improvements and risk mitigation initiatives across supply chain finance operations.
Automation & Business Transformation
- Identify opportunities to automate financial reporting, reconciliations, MIS, and analytical processes.
- Support implementation of digital and technology-led initiatives that enhance financial visibility and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on transformation projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Supply Chain, E-commerce, Retail, Technology, Procurement, and Operations teams to support business decision-making.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
- Present financial analyses, business cases, and recommendations to senior management.
Preferred candidate profile
- Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
- Additional certifications in Finance, Analytics, Supply Chain, or Business Management will be an advantage.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in Finance, Supply Chain Finance, FP&A, Business Finance, Commercial Finance, or Project Finance.
- Experience evaluating capital investments and business cases.
- Exposure to supply chain operations, logistics, warehousing, e-commerce, retail, or distribution environments will be preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and performance management.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
- Expertise in investment appraisal techniques such as ROI, NPV, IRR, and Payback Analysis.
- Sound understanding of supply chain cost structures and operational metrics.
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
- Experience with ERP systems, reporting tools, and finance automation initiatives.
- Ability to influence decisions through data-driven insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
