Role Context
The Manager - Finance Process and Compliance will support the finance transformation agenda across Al-Futtaim Automotive's UAE and international operations. The position connects finance, technology, and operational teams to ensure ERP platforms, business processes, and financial controls work effectively across complex automotive activities. The role will examine how finance processes operate across new vehicles, used vehicles, parts, service, rental, leasing, treasury, tax, reporting, and related functions. By identifying process gaps, system limitations, control weaknesses, and opportunities for automation, the manager will help improve operational efficiency while protecting data quality, financial integrity, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation, enhancement, and optimization of ERP systems from a finance process and compliance perspective.
- Work with Finance, IT, process owners, and operational teams to identify system requirements and improvement opportunities.
- Assist with the design, testing, deployment, and stabilization of ERP upgrades and process enhancements.
- Minimize operational disruption during system changes by coordinating requirements, testing, documentation, and implementation activities.
- Develop detailed process knowledge across automotive functions including new vehicles, used vehicles, parts, service, rental, leasing, treasury, taxation, finance integration, and management reporting.
- Review existing finance and operational workflows to identify inefficiencies, duplication, control gaps, and unnecessary manual activities.
- Recommend practical improvements that strengthen productivity, reduce processing costs, and improve service delivery.
- Ensure processes and supporting systems operate in accordance with internal policies, approved procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Assess business controls and highlight areas where stronger preventive or detective controls are required.
- Build exception management dashboards and early warning reports that help identify unusual transactions, process failures, and operational risks.
- Use analytical tools and business data to monitor process performance and support management decision-making.
- Support SAP inbound and outbound process controls and resolve finance-related integration issues with relevant technology teams.
- Document workflows, system requirements, control points, process changes, and operating procedures clearly.
- Coordinate with stakeholders during process redesign initiatives and ensure agreed changes are understood and adopted.
- Support user adoption of ERP enhancements through communication, documentation, testing, and operational guidance.
- Track implementation issues and work with responsible teams to resolve defects, control weaknesses, or process inconsistencies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across divisional finance and automotive operations.
- Provide management with clear reporting on process risks, exceptions, system issues, and improvement progress.
Ideal Profile
- Role is suitable for a finance process professional who combines accounting knowledge with ERP understanding, analytical capability, and practical experience working across business and technology teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 to 6 years of relevant professional experience.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting SAP or another enterprise ERP platform.
- Previous exposure to automotive, retail, distribution, or another complex multi-process business environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of finance operating systems, transaction flows, business controls, and ERP-supported processes.
- Ability to examine workflows systematically and identify process risks, inefficiencies, and control weaknesses.
- Experience working with Finance, IT, and operational stakeholders on system or process improvement initiatives.
- Good understanding of SAP inbound and outbound processes is advantageous.
- Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, CMA, SAP certification, Project Management, or Information Systems certification are beneficial.
- Strong written documentation and process mapping capability.
- Confidence presenting finance, system, and control requirements to different stakeholder groups.
- Ability to manage several improvement initiatives and operational priorities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining an understanding of wider business objectives.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where systems, processes, and operating requirements continue to evolve.
