Job summary

RNA Resources Group Limited seeks an experienced Design Development professional to lead retail store design development, coordinate with area and concept managers, and prepare documentation for approvals. Strong CAD/3D skills and vendor management are essential for on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires leading projects through DD and CD stages, overseeing project tracking, and mentoring junior staff while ensuring compliance with company standards and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture / Interior Design or related field.
• Proven experience leading retail store design development, GFC documentation and site coordination.
• UAE driving license is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop retail layout and elevations for stores based on location and budget.
• Prepare design development dockets for approvals by Head of Projects and Retail Head.
• Coordinate with Area Managers and Concept Managers for area allocation and timeline milestones.
• Manage project teams and vendors to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

Design Development

DD Stage Verify site dimensions against measured drawings Interact with Area Managers Concept Managers of the responsible territory for area allocation of various departments on a per-sq-margin basis Understand project-specific requirements Design and develop retail layout and elevation for stores based on grade location and budget Prepare the complete design development docket for approvals from Head of Projects Retail Head CEO

Construction Documents

CD Stage Prepare working drawings sectional details and elevations post DD-stage approvals Develop RCPs Reflected Ceiling Plans flooring patterns and typical details Integrate MEP HVAC drawings through consultants Prepare item-specific BOQs for tendering based on designs details and specs in drawings

Project Tracking

Site CoordinationStage-wise project tracking to achieve project milestones Coordinate with mall designers on project requirements Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to achieve on-time project delivery Monitor and examine the work and output of Junior Architects CAD operators and 3D Visualisers

People Management

Develop and mentor subordinates to move to the next higher level of job Manage contractors and consultants at site Ensure compliance with company policies and values MiscellaneousBuild and share knowledge of the latest retail design trends Any other projects or assignments given by Management on a need basis

Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, 3D Max, SketchUp and Photoshop.Hands-on experience with MS Office and MS Projects.Engineering drawing and interpretation.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Strong project management abilities, including multitasking, attention to detail and meeting deadlines.Experience in vendor management, including contract negotiation and project coordination.A creative and strategic mindset, with an understanding of how design impacts the customer experience and business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Architecture / Interior Design or a related field.
• Proven experience leading retail store design development, GFC documentation and site coordination.
• Retail / VIVA fit-out and rollout experience strongly preferred.
• Should have a UAE driving license.
