Job summary

CONFIDENTIAL in Dubai seeks an experienced Accounts Manager to oversee the company’s accounting and finance operations, ensuring accurate records, timely reporting, and robust internal controls. You will lead a sizeable accounts team and coordinate with external auditors and regulators.

The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, managerial capabilities, and hands-on involvement in cash flow, inventory valuation, and international trade accounting within the UAE framework.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
• Proven ability to manage closing processes (monthly, quarterly, yearly).
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and working capital optimization.
• Proficiency in IFRS/IAS and inventory accounting for international trade.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
• Ensure accurate recording of transactions: AP, AR, general ledger, banks.
• Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Provide financial analysis and management reports to MD.

Reporting to the Managing Director. Team Size (Accounts Team): 20-25 people

Accounting & Financial Management

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the Company.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank transactions in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Monitor and manage the Company's accounts payable, receivable, credit control, and collection activities.

Financial Reporting & Management Accounting

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial statements, and periodic financial reports.
• Provide financial analysis and management reports to the Managing Director.
• Monitor actual financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and previous periods.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow Management

• Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
• Manage working capital, including receivables, payables, and inventory investments.
• Monitor banking facilities, loans, guarantees, and other financial arrangements.
• Identify opportunities to improve cash flow, reduce costs, and optimize working capital.

Taxation, Compliance & Regulatory Requirements

• Ensure compliance with applicable UAE statutory, financial, and regulatory requirements (e.g., VAT, CT).
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Oversee KYC documentation and compliance requirements with banks and financial institutions.

Inventory, Costing & International Trade Accounting

• Oversee inventory accounting, stock valuation and measurement, and reconciliation with physical inventory records.
• Monitor inventory movements, stock adjustments, provisions, and obsolete or slow-moving inventory.

Internal Controls, Audit & Risk Management

• Establish, implement, and monitor effective internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
• Identify financial risks, control weaknesses, and potential areas of operational inefficiency.
• Review financial processes to minimize errors, irregularities, and potential financial losses.

Banking & Financial Operations

• Oversee bank reconciliations, payment processing, fund transfers, and banking documentation.
• Monitor banking facilities, foreign currency transactions, and related charges.
• Maintain effective coordination with banks on KYC updates, compliance documentation, and account-related matters.

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Accounts Manager to oversee and manage the Company's overall accounting and finance operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, timely financial reporting, effective cash flow management, regulatory compliance, strong internal controls, and efficient financial processes. The role requires a hands-on finance professional with strong technical accounting knowledge, managerial capabilities, and experience managing a sizeable accounts and finance team. The candidate should have a solid understanding of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, IFRS, inventory accounting, and international trading transactions.
