Job summary

Gulf Marketing Group (GMG Group) is seeking a Maintenance Technician for GMG Foods processing operations. The role focuses on hands-on maintenance, regular inspections, diagnosing malfunctions, and performing repair and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and uphold safety standards.

The incumbent will work with production staff to enhance machine performance, ensure equipment reliability, and contribute to a safe maintenance culture within the facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in machine operation/technical work within frozen food industry.
• High School Diploma or ITI trade certificate (electrical/mechanical).
• Basic knowledge of MEP and food hygiene.
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and equipment handling.
• Proficient in preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Effective communication and accurate documentation of maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance of equipment per schedule.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with daily maintenance tasks and breakdown activities.
• Assist in implementing preventive maintenance schedules; inspect equipment for wear and replace faulty components.
• Comply with HACCP/GMP standards.
• Document maintenance activities; manage tools and spare parts inventory; follow safety protocols.
• Perform other assignments as required by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Collaborate with production staff to improve machine performance and maintenance culture.
