Job summary

Gulf Marketing Group (GMG Group) seeks a Conveyor Technician to install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot conveyor systems in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will inspect belts, motors, rollers and related equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and diagnose faults to minimize downtime.

The role requires a Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance with 2–4 years of hands-on conveyor experience, plus basic computer literacy for reporting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in conveyor maintenance and repair.
• Technical understanding of conveyor systems (mechanical and electrical).
• Troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Basic computer literacy for maintenance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of conveyor belts, motors, rollers, and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in conveyor systems.
• Replace or repair worn parts and ensure system calibration is accurate.
• Maintain logs of maintenance activities and issues resolved.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures during maintenance and repair work.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies to resume operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, warehouse, and safety teams to support operational continuity.
• Maintain tools and parts inventory for conveyor system upkeep.
• Suggest improvements for enhancing equipment reliability and performance.
