Qualifications

Technical Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related technical discipline.
3–5 years of progressive experience as an industrial electrical maintenance technician in manufacturing.
Hands-on expertise in electrical troubleshooting, schematics reading, and wiring control panels.
Proficiency with PLC systems (Siemens / Allen‑Bradley) and drive technologies (VFDs, servo).
Packaging industry maintenance experience preferred.
Legal work eligibility in the UAE with on-site availability in Dubai.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and safety-conscious mindset.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults in industrial machinery.
Maintain, calibrate, and service electrical control panels, VFDs, servo motors, sensors and actuators.
Troubleshoot PLC programs (Siemens S7/TIA Portal, Allen‑Bradley) and HMIs.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and thermographic inspections.
Respond to emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime.
Ensure electrical safety and LOTO compliance.
Keep meticulous maintenance logs, work orders, spare parts inventories and schematics.

Detailed Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician – Electrical supporting advanced packaging manufacturing at Al Bayader International in Dubai, you will take full operational and technical ownership of electrical fault finding, preventative maintenance schedules, machinery overhauls, and plant electrical infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing electrical failures in extruders, injection molding machines, printing presses, and automated conveyors, repairing control panels, programming/troubleshooting PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), and executing scheduled maintenance routines. You will utilize your proactive, hands-on electrical engineering skills to minimize equipment downtime and ensure strict electrical safety compliance. Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults in industrial manufacturing machinery, extruders, thermoformers, and printing presses.
Maintain, calibrate, and service electrical control panels, VFDs (variable frequency drives), servo motors, sensors, and actuators.
Troubleshoot and modify PLC programs (Siemens S7/TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
Execute scheduled electrical preventive maintenance (PM) routines, thermographic scans, and insulation resistance testing.
Respond rapidly to emergency breakdown calls on the production floor to minimize plant downtime and production loss.
Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and factory safety regulations.
Maintain meticulous maintenance logs, work order histories, spare parts inventories, and electrical schematic documentation.
Collaborate cross-functional with mechanical maintenance technicians, production supervisors, and plant engineering leadership.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive professional experience as an industrial electrical maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
Strong practical hands-on expertise in industrial electrical troubleshooting, reading electrical schematics, and wiring control panels.
Proven proficiency working with VFDs, servo drives, sensors, pneumatic controls, and PLC systems (Siemens / Allen-Bradley).
Packaging industry maintenance experience strongly preferred.
Mandatory legal work eligibility in the United Arab Emirates with local residency and availability for on-site operations in Dubai.
