Job summary

Fundamental Hospitality Group in Dubai is seeking an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to manage day-to-day maintenance at one of our restaurant venues. You will organize repairs, coordinate service providers, and ensure all equipment and systems operate to a high standard to support smooth restaurant operations.

The role requires proactive planning, strong communication, and the ability to respond quickly to issues while maintaining safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Coordinator or Facilities Coordinator in hospitality.
• Experience coordinating contractors and external service providers.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills with multi-priority handling.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily maintenance across the venue, including preventative maintenance and urgent repairs.
• Liaise with external contractors and service providers to schedule works and ensure quality.
• Coordinate servicing for kitchen equipment, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Maintain records of maintenance requests, work orders and service history.

Fundamental Hospitality is looking to hire an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join one of our restaurant venues in Dubai.

The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day maintenance activities, ensuring that the venue, equipment and technical systems are maintained to a high standard. The role requires a proactive and organized individual who can coordinate repairs, manage external service providers and respond efficiently to maintenance issues to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Coordination

• Coordinate daily maintenance activities across the venue, including planned preventative maintenance and urgent repairs.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance requirements and potential issues.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from the restaurant team and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
• Prioritize maintenance tasks to minimize disruption to service and daily operations.
• Monitor the condition of the venue, including guest areas, kitchens, storage areas and back-of-house facilities.

Contractor & Service Provider Management

• Liaise with external contractors, technicians and service providers to coordinate repairs, servicing and maintenance works.
• Arrange site visits, supervise maintenance activities and monitor the quality of completed work.
• Obtain quotations and coordinate approvals for maintenance-related works where required.
• Follow up on outstanding jobs and ensure work is completed within agreed timelines.

Equipment & Technical Systems

• Coordinate servicing and repairs for kitchen equipment, refrigeration systems, HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing and other essential restaurant facilities.
• Ensure critical equipment is maintained properly to support uninterrupted restaurant operations.
• Coordinate emergency repairs and elevate major technical issues when necessary.
• Maintain records of equipment servicing, warranties and maintenance history.

Administration & Cost Control

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests, work orders, service schedules and completed repairs.
• Monitor maintenance supplies, tools and spare parts as required.
• Assist with tracking maintenance expenditure, obtaining quotations and processing purchase requests.
• Coordinate with the restaurant management and relevant head office departments on maintenance priorities and requirements.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable safety, hygiene and operational standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Coordinator, Facilities Coordinator or in a similar maintenance role.
• Experience within restaurants, hotels or the wider hospitality industry is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of building maintenance, kitchen equipment and essential technical systems.
• Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers and external service providers.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Practical problem‑solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to urgent maintenance issues.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced hospitality environment and support operational requirements.
• Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
