Job summary

Beckers Group in Ras Al Khaimah is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to ensure smooth operation of all electrical and mechanical equipment in our paint manufacturing facility by performing preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance.

You will troubleshoot electrical systems, repair machinery, maintain records and support safety and continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, utilities and facility equipment (electrical and mechanical).
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including motors, drives, control panels, sensors and wiring.
• Maintain and repair mechanical equipment including pumps, mixers, compressors and chillers.
• Support installation, commissioning and modification of new equipment and machinery.
• Monitor utilities (air compressors, air dryers, chillers, air conditioning) to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders and equipment history logs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, fire & safety standards).
• Collaborate with production teams and stakeholders to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain proper inventory of tools, spare parts and consumables.
• Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities:
• Recognize and observe IMS policy.
• Comply with integrated management system (IMS) policy to improve work process.
• Comply and implement the controls required to mitigate the risks involved in the workplaces and surrounding areas.
• Implement EHS and Energy Operational controls in the workplace.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, utilities and facility equipment (electrical and mechanical).
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including motors, drives, control panels, sensors and wiring.
• Maintain and repair mechanical equipment such as pumps, mixers, grinding mills, compressors, grounding systems, chillers, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, ovens, dust collectors and blowers.
• Support installation, commissioning and modification of new equipment and machinery.
• Monitor and maintain utilities (air compressors, air dryers, chillers, air conditioning etc.) to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders and equipment history logs.
