Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH in Dubai is seeking a mechanical maintenance technician to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on a range of equipment. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair pumps, motors, and conveyors, ensuring safety standards and efficient operation.

Strong communication with production and engineering teams is essential for minimizing downtime. Ideal candidates have a Diploma/ITI in mechanical engineering and 2–5+ years of industrial maintenance

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI/Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Relevant certifications in safety, maintenance, or rotating equipment are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair pumps, motors, compressors, gearboxes, valves, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and identify root causes of equipment breakdowns.
• Conduct equipment alignment, balancing, lubrication, and calibration activities.
• Replace defective components and perform overhauls as required.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, permit-to-work systems, and company HSE procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection reports using CMMS systems.
• Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance projects.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues before equipment failure occurs.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance of tools and workshop equipment.
