Job summary

Emirates is seeking an IT Operations & Support Engineer - Mainframe Technologies to join our Dubai-based IT team. The role focuses on restoring normal IT services within agreed SLAs and serving as the single point of contact for incidents and service requests.

You will work with IBM zOS and mainframe tools, manage incidents, coordinate with vendors, and ensure high system availability through ITIL-aligned processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 4 years of IT experience.

Responsibilities

• Address and resolve customer issues to meet KPIs.
• Analyse incidents and provide solutions for minimal disruption.
• Update incident/status in the tracking tool with current information.
• Set customer expectations based on agreed SLOs.
• Provide quick fixes/workarounds and update knowledge base for problem management.
• Ensure deployments follow IT practices and gather customer feedback.
• Coordinate with vendors and IT teams to ensure high availability.
• Adhere to IT policy, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain configuration items in the CMDB as per policy.
